With Apple’s delays, AirPower’s production was finally canceled.
Apple has completely stopped making AirPower because it didn’t meet their standards. Dan Riccio, senior vice president of hardware engineering at Apple, said: “After much effort, we’ve concluded AirPower will not achieve our high standards and we have canceled the project. We’re sorry to customers who were excited about this launch. We still believe in a wireless future and are dedicated to improving the wireless experience.”
AirPower, first announced in September 2017, has suffered a delay and has become the focus of Apple. As it is known, AirPods had a few delays before it was put on sale but it was offered for sale after a while.

AirPower’s constant delay is related to physical engineering problems. Particularly, it was a big problem that the 3D charging coils became very hot during operation. So in short, Apple’s wireless charging pad is permanently delayed and eventually canceled because of technical shortcomings.
Apple might have insisted on removing the product as it did before, but it was not a problem the firm could handle. So even the boxes of the latest AirPods have AirPower’s pictures.
